   GIGrafx 2010
This site was built and designed using freeware and Open-Source.

The graphics were rendered under 'The GIMP', ...under Win32 and Linux platforms.
Site design / editing were originally done using 'KompoZer' - with the TIDY plug-in installed for Mozilla, to keep my coding halfway within validation (Win32 and Linux), then final editing was performed within PSPad (Win32) to straighten out the coding and to validate it. Within Linux, this is done using Quanta+ or Bluefish.
This site has been recently edited under, as the image above would indicate, my new Linux platform. Mandriva and openSUSE were my new choice in operating systems for a few years there... Now, I'm feeling rather comfortable with PCLinuxOS 2010. For more about this, please visit my 'Linux' page. More will be added at a later date.
Who knows, I may end up 'porting' this site to PHP / MySQL driven. For now, just CSS, HTML, DHTML, Java /JavaScript, and a little experimental flash (swf) formatted content.
I had originally built/developed this site as a cross-platform project between Win32 and Linux dedicated drives.  At any rate... I now have a nice web-space to fill, to the best of my ability, with quality content. I will be placing a few alternative options within the sections of this site.
For a bit on my Web-Dev abilities:

Below is a link to the portion of this site that has to do with the application that has had one thing, or an other, to do with 99% of the graphics within my sites & interface works. The GIMP has come a long way from the old 1.2* versions.
The latest installs (v2.6*) for the Win32 platform offer some nice 'out of the box' functions, which include python plugin support.

I also have a small page concerning my latest project
converting The GIMP to run from a USB-2 flashdrive!
Check it out here: GIMP -2.6.5 via USB-2

One main purpose for this site is to convey my potentials in computing, in hopes of eventually gaining employment within this field. I am not being particular to any certain areas of development. There are simply too many directions in which I could become employed. Though my training would indicate strengths in hardware support, my actual strong points are in areas of software support and system configurations within Win32 and Linux based systems. If there are any employers interested in what this site has brought to view, or if any feel that they may have a specific use for my abilities, please contact me.
I am interested in employment possibilities within the Cincinnati, Ohio (US) area, though there are many possibilities in employment opportunities being performed via internet. (With my being able to work from my home system.) -Serious inquiries only, please.

GIGrafx2009   This site contains information pertaining to applications of 'beta' status.
Though the applications run fine on my system, this does not mean that you will have the same abilities, as systems vary in configuration. 'Before' you install / use any of the software here, it is highly recommended that you read the 'ReadMe and Documentations' when available. This step alone can save you allot of bad experiences with improper setups, etc...
I, Gary Ingram, accept 'no' responsibility for what 'you' do with your system, nor will I accept any responsibility for information you may lose as a result of your mis-use of said applications. There's some really great free and open-source solutions out there... you just have to use a little common sense.
